At the invitation of the Mayor of Florence, Mr. Dario Nardella, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic, H.E. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki, attended on Wednesday and Thursday, the 15th and 16th of July 2020, the activities of the initiative to "transform the city of Florence into the capital of the new human Renaissance" and to learn from the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic with all its global economic and social effects.

The initiative's activities included a visit to the "Vecchio" Palace, the city's headquarters, to the most famous museums of Florence, and an official dinner attended by senior fashion designers, key representatives of the industrial sector and public health doctors. The discussions focused on how to structure the economy again in order to cope with the effects of the pandemic, especially for the industrial, touristic and cultural sectors.
